Advertising Targeting (Blog 2)

The first advertisement is made targeting young adults in a persuasion attempt to get them to drink their beer. It is showing beer as being a good time and a cause for fun without showing the bitter taste and sour after effects. All in a way to make you want to drink and have good times like the paid actors

The second one is a basic persuasion tactic to try and convince desperate parents who have picky kids that they will love the cereal no matter what.

In the third ad, Nike is attempting to attract younger people by showing them famous and humanizing them showing that anyone can wear Nike. This simple trick will either make people want to wear the product due to someone famous wearing it or will make someone want to wear it so they can be as good as a professional.

It is crucial that we are aware of who our ads reach and how they will be affected by what they see. One miss step will lead to a child seeing this and all of a sudden thinking that drinking will be good. That is why beer ads will tend to use older looking actors.
